St. Mary's Menston Diocesan Duties for Philippa
This Palm Sunday, Philippa Cowell (7G), who is a Cathedral Altar Server, was honoured to lead Bishop Marcus, the Cathedral clergy, Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress of Leeds and other faithful in the traditional procession from Leeds Art Museum to the Cathedral.
During Holy Week she will be serving for Bishop Marcus on all six Masses and Services in the Cathedral, Palm Sunday, the Chrism Mass, Mass of the Lord's Supper, Solemn Liturgy of the Passion, the Easter Vigil and Easter Sunday Mass. With serving practices and preparation this totals almost 20 hours of commitment over nine days.
