St Stephen's visits to St Francis'

Year 5 children at St Stephen’s, Skipton have enjoyed a four-day pilgrimage to Assisi.

The children visited many wonderful sites including San Damiano, Santa Maria Di Angelo and the Basilica San Francesco and finally, on the last day, the Adventure Park.

Pictured are the children from Year 5, Mr Pye, Mrs Ellis and Mgr Summersgill the Parish Priest and a Governor at St. Stephen’s.

“It was a wonderful trip where the children learnt a lot and found it very spiritually rewarding. From check-in on Sunday morning to their return, everyone complimented the children on their behaviour, attentiveness and good manners. The Italians use the word educato which means well behaved and well mannered. They were a real credit to the school and their families. We would like to thank the Trustees of San Damiano without whose support this trip would not have been possible.”
