Librarian

Permanent, 36.75 hours per week, term time only plus 2 additional days.  Salary NJC Scale C1 (actual salary £17,549 - £19,245)

Required for September 2018.  The Governors of this high achieving, oversubscribed Catholic Voluntary Academy seek to appoint a Librarian to manage, develop and promote the library provision within the school including the supervision of students in private study and during break and lunchtimes.  The successful candidate will display a high level of interpersonal and organisational skills along with excellent communication skills.  Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills are essential, as well as a love for reading and the enthusiasm to promote this to our pupils.

Level 1 Teaching Assistant

28 hours per week, term time only plus 2 additional days.  Fixed term until 31 August 2019.  Salary NJC Scale A1-B1 (actual salary £10,699 - £11,847)

Required for September 2018.  The Governors seek to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support students with Special Educational Needs in their learning, both in the classroom and on a one-to-one basis.  Duties will include supporting pupils with barriers to their learning, establishing good relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and being aware of and responding appropriately to individual needs.  Previous experience of working with pupils with emotional/behavioural needs or communication difficulties is desirable but not essential.

 You will be an excellent communicator with effective and efficient organisational skills, with the ability to work as part of a team and use own initiative.  Good literacy and numeracy skills are essential.

St Joseph's Catholic Primary School, Pudsey

Office Manager

Required for September 2018.  The Governors are looking to appoint an experienced and well organised professional to efficiently manage our busy school office to provide a full range of administrative services effectively, as required by the school.  The post holder will also be responsible for two other administrative staff.  The successful candidate will be friendly with a "can do" attitude, the ability to stay calm under pressure and have a flexible approach.

  • NJC Scale C1 - actual salary £18,406 - £20,185) salary negotiable for an exceptional candidate
  • 37 hours per week, term time only plus 10 additional days (to be agreed with the Headteacher)

Administrative Assistant / Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant

  • Administrative Assistant (part time) 22.5 hours per week, term time only.  NJC Scale B1 (actual salary £8,775 - £9,421).  Hours of work: 8.00am - 11.30am with flexible afternoon hours to be discussed.
  • Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant (part time) 5 hours per week, term time only.  NJC Scale A1 point 8 (actual salary £1,823).  Hours of work: 12.05pm - 1.05pm.

Required from September 2018, the Governors of St Joseph's Otley are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and friendly Administrative Assistant to join their Catholic Primary School.  The successful candidate will need a willingness to train on our new systems and procedures and put these into practice.  You will be an effective and welcoming first point of contact for our school.  You will have a calm, courteous, professional and friendly approach along with the ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and work effectively as a team member in our busy environment.
